If you’re the sort of person who likes learning, you’ll pick it up in a few days. If you’re the sort of person who thinks spending your life learning is a bad thing then you’re probably too stupid to use Ubuntu anyway.

Ubuntu is a great alternative to Windows for most uses. Windows games is not one of those uses, but the situation is improving. Blizzard are leaning further and further towards a full Linux implementation of WoW and some games work as well if not better on Ubuntu.

Many Windows programs work perfectly well under Ubuntu and non-Ubuntu users don’t know what they’re missing with the tons of excellent free software that is available for Ubuntu.

Yes, you do have to learn things, so if thinking makes your head hurt then stay away.

Dumb tips. I’m guessing anyone who thumbed this up didn’t actually read it. It has you make tiny changes that in the end will only speed up your computer slightly and will make it about as visually appalling as a computer running Windows 95 that you bought at a yard sale. You’re better off buying more RAM that doing anything on this list.

I tried your recipe but when I sent my son Zach to the store to buy cream cheese he bought cheez whiz instead. I made the recipe with it and it turned out OK but it was a funny yellow color.

Great I installed Ubuntu and now I can boot up a little faster but now I can’t use my computer for what I actually use it for, playing Warhammer, World of Warcraft, Unreal tournament 3, Warcraft 3
Left 4 dead, Mount and Blade, Oblivion, Command and Conquer RA3, Starcraft and pretty much every Video game I can’t think of. Computing sure is fun now…
